Rolling Stones - Waiting on a Friend

There has been so much interest in these images, I wanted to make sure everyone who wants a print can get one. So I am offering two options: reasonably priced prints available in three sizes and a variety of surfaces, or custom Editions of 25 for prints  20” x 13” prints or larger

Click on the images to go to my Fine Art America site where you can choose from a number of print surfaces ( I like the archival Matte) They can be ordered framed as well, but I suggest having it framed locally if possible.

In 1981 my friend Paul Spector told me something special was going to happen at our bar, the St Marks Bar & Grill in the East Village. Paul was the bar manager and I was a bartender. He told me he had just negotiated for the Rolling Stones to shoot their video for a new song - Waiting on a Friend. The day of, I shot these outside, but we soon moved inside for the rest of the shoot. I took up a barstool in the back, you can see me in the background of the video trying to get my dopey mug into the scene. After they finished they all picked up their instruments and jammed for awhile while we sat inches away watching a bit of musical history. I got drunk and asked Mick what he did for a living, he didn’t laugh. All photos ©Peter Bennett - All Rights Reserved
